Bath time is play time. Bath time is down time. Bath time is just a good time! In years past it was relatively common to give baby a bath in the sink, and this is probably still practiced a lot even today, though these days it's very much more common to buy a small tub for baby to put into your bathtub; it provides a natural place for splashing to spill-over!
So what's the best part of a nice bath? The warm water that leeches tension from your muscles? The way your whole body relaxes? That great feeling of freshness and rejuvenation? Well, actually it seems that there are a lot of great parts to a nice bath! Whether it's you and your secret stash of bubble bath or your baby getting clean in the sink, bath time is a great time! Whether playful or relaxing, it's just a really good event. All good things come to an end, but that doesn't mean that the end has to be some kind of harsh breaking point from that feeling of luxuriant comfort.
Baby bath towels are a great end to a fun, splashing romp in the tub, or to a quick get clean session. Either way, it's still nice to get out of the water and get nicely wrapped up in a soft towel until dry. So much better than being cold and wet!
Hooded towels are usually what you want for drying your baby, since they come with a hood to help dry the soft hair on baby's head, as well as to keep the baby warm since babies have so little hair. They are almost always decorated with some adorable embroidery or applique, and made from cute and colorful soft and absorbent fabrics, and frequently are sold in packages of several at a time.
More than just the baby bath towels, though, there are also
baby bath robes, and
cozy baby wraps. The best of the
baby bath robes are available in luxurious woven terry cotton, or an exquisite velour cotton. Either provides a soft, gentle after-bath garment for your baby.
Cozy baby wraps are also sometimes available in the fantastic 100% woven terry cotton.
If you're as much a fan of the woven terry as we are, you'll probably want to indulge in getting
woven terry baby washcloths as well, which provide a large, soft cloth for gently getting baby clean while in the tub. No, we haven't forgotten that getting baby clean
is the real reason behind bath time! There are also wash mitts that cover your hand like a mitten while you scrub your baby.
But what would bath time be without some
bath toys to play with!? Your baby needs some toys to take a swing at now and then! The classic favorite, though we wonder if it was as popular prior to the song, is the rubber ducky. But there are plenty of other fish and animals in the sea, so grab some other colorful creatures to spice things up a bit!
